About The Position

You will receive guidance from experienced IT professionals in a collaborative and supportive work environment. This is an ideal role for a motivated, technology student pursuing a career in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field. During this internship, you will gain exposure to: Enterprise IT support and help desk operations Cloud platforms and Microsoft 365 administration Cybersecurity best practices Network and wireless infrastructure Construction technology systems IT asset lifecycle management AI and automation tools used in modern business environments Professional communication and project coordination Opportunities to participate in meaningful technology projects The hourly pay rate for this position is $31.00. This is a temporary, non-exempt position earning required Washington sick pay and paid holidays during the duration of the internship, but no other benefits are offered. Our office is in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle. Some travel to local jobsites within the greater Seattle area may be required.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work independently while collaborating with a team
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support for end users experiencing hardware, software, or connectivity issues.
  • Assist with troubleshooting laptops, desktops, printers, mobile devices, docking stations, and conference room technology.
  • Set up, configure, and deploy new computers and peripherals.
  • Document support requests and resolutions through the IT ticketing system.
  • Assist users with Microsoft 365 applications, and other business software.
  • Help maintain computer workstations, monitors, and conference room systems.
  • Assist with technology deployments at construction jobsites and project offices.
  • Support setup of internet connectivity, Wi-Fi equipment, printers, and workstation hardware in jobsite trailers.
  • Learn how construction teams utilize platforms such as Microsoft 365, Egnyte, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Bluebeam, and project management applications.
  • Help troubleshoot basic connectivity and technology issues that impact field operations.
