Intern, IT Infrastructure (Summer)
About The Position
This internship focuses on IT Infrastructure within the Information Technology department. The intern will assist the team in identifying and troubleshooting user-reported issues via the Service Desk, learn trouble-shooting processes and change management procedures, and gain familiarity with IT Asset management systems like Lansweeper and Network management systems like SolarWinds. The role also involves assisting with audits and reporting, supporting the engineering team with network and server configuration and testing, and creating/maintaining flow charts and spreadsheets for infrastructure projects. The position is paid and starts in Summer 2026.
Requirements
- Completed 2 years of desired major: Information Technology
- Experience in IT System Administration or Infrastructure support roles accepted in leu of degree
Responsibilities
- Assist team in identifying issues reported by users via the Service Desk.
- Learn trouble-shooting process and change management procedures.
- Learn our IT Asset management system (Lansweeper).
- Learn our Network management system (SolarWinds).
- Assist with audits and reporting.
- Assist engineering team with various projects tasks including network and server configuration and testing.
- Create and maintain flow charts and spreadsheets in support of infrastructure projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
