About The Position

Labcorp is seeking an IT Business Analyst Intern to join our Finance Team located in Burlington, NC with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. This 11-week paid internship is part of the 2027 Global Internship Program and offers students the opportunity to work on impactful projects, gain real-world experience, and support Labcorp's mission to improve health and improve lives. The Finance Team partners with business and technology stakeholders to support business analysis, project delivery, process improvement, and technology solutions that align with organizational objectives. As an IT Business Analyst Intern, you will gain exposure to requirements gathering, project delivery, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration while working with business leaders, IT leadership, development teams, testing teams, and other stakeholders. The role also provides opportunities to explore how emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), can be used to improve business processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
Working towards a degree in Business Information Technology, Business Analytics, or a related field.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Familiarity with project management principles and practices.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with Lucidchart for process and workflow mapping.
Familiarity with Smartsheet.
Interest in leveraging technology and emerging tools to improve business processes.

Nice To Haves

Experience with Jira is preferred.
Previous project management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support business analysis activities and requirements gathering for technology and process improvement initiatives.
Partner with business leaders, IT teams, development teams, testing teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to support project delivery.
Assist with documenting business requirements, processes, and workflows.
Support technology solutions that align with business and organizational objectives.
Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives.
Assist with project activities from requirements gathering through implementation.
Explore opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
