About The Position

We are currently seeking an HR & Internal Communications Intern to be part of the ContiTech team in Fairlawn, Ohio. This is a hands-on role for the Industrial Solutions America’s Headquarters. The intern will support local HR in the full recruitment process, including screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and participating in interviews with managers. They will also assist HR with various onboarding tasks and participate in career fairs. Additionally, the intern will assist with employee engagement events, Summits or Town Halls in the Fairlawn office. A key part of the role involves enhancing the organization's presence on internal communications channels such as intranet, employee mobile app and digital signage. Under the supervision of the Internal Communications Manager, the intern will create and schedule content, draft messages, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide support to the HR data analytics team as needed. Collaboration with other functions to ensure consistency in messaging and branding, as well as contributing ideas for optimizing digital communication channels and content, will be expected. The intern will also benchmark other locations' best practices for employee satisfaction, support in preparing, monitoring, and analyzing critical location KPIs, and consolidate information gathered. They will be involved in a multitude of office projects and meetings for the Fairlawn Office.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a US accredited degree program for at least another 12 months and can dedicate 12 months toward this internship
  • Student of Psychology, Human Relations, Business Administration, Public Relations, Communications, Media, Journalism or equivalent
  • Must have and maintain a minimum GPA of a 2.8 or higher
  • Able to work a minimum of 24+ hours per week during normal business hours (Mon – Fri) and commute to our Fairlawn, OH office
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Forms)
  • Good interpersonal skills - must work well on a team
  • Excellent communication, writing and speaking skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Legal Authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job opening
