About The Position

This is a summer internship position from May to August, where the intern will shadow State Troopers to learn about enforcing traffic laws. Responsibilities include assisting crash reconstructionists, participating in sobriety and safety checks, attending safety talks, and shadowing specialty units like recons, SWAT Mobile Force, Drone Operators, K9 handlers, and Task Force Troopers. The intern will also support the district office with administrative duties such as supply inventory and records keeping. Applicants should have a strong interest in a Law Enforcement career.

Requirements

• Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply.
• By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
• Successful applicant(s) will be required to undergo a background investigation.
• Offers of employment are conditional upon successful completion of a drug screening.
