About The Position

Dewberry is currently seeking a Highway Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 to join our Mt. Laurel, NJ office. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and talented individual to be part of a project team, performing roadway and highway design, utilize CADD software, and apply AASHTO, NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority and/or county design standards. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing BS in Civil Engineering.
  • Familiarity with NJDOT and NJ Turnpike Authority design standards and practices.
  • Familiarity with AASHTO and MUTCD.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and preparation of contract documents for roadway improvement projects for various clients including the NJDOT, NJ Turnpike Authority, counties, and various other public and private sector clients.
