About The Position

This internship provides on-the-job training and work experience within various departments to prepare the intern for a career in the financial services industry. The intern will support one or two departments throughout the internship by coordinating and completing special projects, while also participating in community service, networking, and training events. This is a full-time position located at Trustmark’s Corporate Office in Jackson, Mississippi, with a required start date of June 7, 2027.

Management retains the right to add, delete, or modify the responsibilities and qualifications of the position at any time.

Requirements

• Be a junior- or senior-level college student.
• Have completed coursework and be actively pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
• Have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Have intermediate experience with Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
• Understand design principles, including layout, color theory, and typography.
• Be able to revise designs based on constructive critique.
• Be able to communicate design choices clearly.
• Be able to meet deadlines and collaborate with team members.
• Be able to take creative direction and apply it.
• Present a compelling portfolio showcasing design work.
• Be able to sit or stand for long periods and use a computer keyboard and/or mouse while viewing computer screens.

Responsibilities

• Complete assigned special projects within departments, working closely with department managers.
• Attend designated training classes.
• Participate in community service.
• Attend informative events within Trustmark designed to provide interns with a general understanding of the bank’s functional areas.
• Present an overview of the department and projects completed during the internship, and provide an evaluation of the departments, projects, and overall program.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
