The Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) is the state's leading economic development organization with a streamlined mission to grow and strengthen Arizona’s economy. The ACA uses a three-pronged approach to advance the overall economy: recruit, grow, create – recruit out-of-state companies to expand their operations in Arizona; work with existing companies to grow their business in Arizona and beyond; and partner with entrepreneurs and companies large and small to create new jobs and businesses in targeted industries. The ACA is seeking to hire a part-time Intern in its Grants and Opportunities team. The position begins upon hire and is funded through June 30, 2027. This Internship will entail supporting efforts to develop resources, outreach and events to support Opportunity Zone investment in Arizona. It will also focus on increasing awareness of and engagement with development finance and community development tools (e.g., grants, tax credits, bonds, loan funds) throughout Arizona, including through an event that brings community and tribal leaders together with federal and state partners to learn about these tools. Additionally, the intern will help refine ACA’s grants-related policies, procedures and processes and identify potential federal and private funding for ACA priorities.
