This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world work experience, learn how varying departments interface and develop foundational skills to help you enter the fashion world after you graduate. We are seeking a motivated and creative Footwear Design Intern to join our design team for the summer. This internship is ideal for students pursuing a degree in Footwear Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related field who are looking to gain hands-on industry experience and build a professional portfolio. The intern will support the design team throughout the product creation process—from concept development to final execution—while learning about materials, construction methods, and current market trends.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university (must be eligible to receive academic credit)
- Studying Footwear Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Design, or a related discipline
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop required)
- Ability to work collaboratively and take direction in a fast-paced environment
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with 3D design tools (e.g., Rhino, CLO, Blender, or similar) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Responsibilities
- Assist in the creation of footwear design concepts, sketches, and renderings
- Conduct trend, market, and competitor research to support seasonal design direction
- Prepare mood boards, color palettes, and material presentations
- Support the development of tech packs and design specifications
- Collaborate with designers and cross-functional partners on ongoing projects
- Help organize design files, material libraries, and seasonal archives
