About The Position

The Firmware Engineering intern will perform project-oriented work under the direction of firmware development engineers that are focused on developing firmware for implementing features to control variable frequency drives (VFDs). Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Legal authorization to work in Canada is required.
  • We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future for this job opening.

Nice To Haves

  • Must be working towards a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous internship or co-op experience.
  • Experience with C/C++ or MATLAB/Simulink.
  • Exposure to oscilloscopes, multimeters and other hardware tools.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming and Control Systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop firmware.
  • Product testing and certification.
  • Coding activities (C/C++ and/or MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Maintain and develop test setups.
  • Maintain firmware metrics.
  • Document firmware applications and components.
  • Research into new technologies.

Benefits

  • Hourly Compensation is from $20 - $32/hour. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
