About The Position
The manufacturing engineering intern assists engineers in designing, improving, and implementing manufacturing processes while gaining hands-on experience in a production environment.
Requirements
- Must be enrolled in an accredited university at Sophomore, Junior, or Senior level pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or similar
- Basic understanding of manufacturing principles, systems, and equipment.
- Communication and teamwork abilities to collaborate with engineers, production staff, and suppliers.
- Basic analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues related to production
Responsibilities
- Collaboration with senior engineers to gain hands on experience and mentorship
- Assist with completing/assessing Boeing's PCDs
- Test bolt BOM clean-up to drive accurate test bold demand and maintain appropriate min-max levels at all times
- Review processes/procedures in 3V to ensure correct flow through de-oil process
- Support Moeller's equipment/product move to SMA Mexico
- Support other critical areas as assigned by senior engineer or engineering manager
