About The Position
The Finance Intern opportunity focuses on government reimbursement, revenue analysis, and related financial functions within a dynamic, multi-state healthcare organization. This role offers valuable exposure to the complexities of the healthcare system's financial management across Baptist’s organization in Tennessee, Mississippi, and Arkansas.
Requirements
- Be working towards a Degree in Accounting with substantial coursework completed or Graduate Student with Accounting Degree.
- Some upper division coursework
- Proficient in spreadsheets and other software/technology solutions
- Strong analytical skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Detail Oriented with good time management skills.
- Interested in working for a mission based community organization.
Responsibilities
- Analysis and research related to patient accounts to ensure proper accounting
- Support for external governmental report filings
- Projects involving gathering data to make appropriate month end closing entries
- Projects dealing with revenue optimization
- Completes assigned goals
