About The Position

The Intern, Finance and Transformation will support with various Finance and Transformation projects, driving operational improvements, data analysis, and process optimization initiatives. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial operations, business transformation efforts, and cross-functional collaboration. The intern will assist with data management, reporting, and process documentation while contributing to key transformation projects aimed at improving efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within Finance. This is an excellent opportunity for a student seeking to build foundational experience in finance, analytics, and business operations within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. ECRI will provide mentorship and learning opportunities, with the potential to tailor project work to align with the intern’s academic background and career interests, as business needs allow.

Requirements

  • Prior internship or coursework in finance, accounting, business, data analytics, or related fields preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Interest in finance operations, transformation, or process improvement
  • High school diploma required.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university, preferably in a Human Resources / Organizational Development discipline.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products (e.g., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and client relationship management tools.

Responsibilities

  • Support finance transformation initiatives, including process improvement, workflow optimization, and documentation of current and future state processes
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting, including gathering, organizing, and validating financial and operational data
  • Perform data entry and database maintenance, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial systems and records
  • Create and maintain spreadsheets, dashboards, and presentations to support team initiatives and leadership reporting
  • Assist in identifying process inefficiencies and recommend improvements based on data and observations
  • Support system-related activities, including light administration, testing, or documentation of finance tools and platforms
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Finance, HR, IT) on projects and ad hoc requests
  • Provide general administrative and project support as needed
  • Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and project discussions
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks and projects, delivering work on time and with high quality
  • Other duties, as assigned.
