About The Position
As a Finance Intern at Picoma Industries in Cambridge, OH, you will gain hands-on exposure to plant finance operations from the ground up. This role sits directly within our manufacturing environment and works closely with our manager, operations staff, and VP of Finance, providing visibility into how financial strategy connects to daily plant operations. You will support reporting, data validation, and financial analysis initiatives that help drive operational performance, cost control, and decision-making across the facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in corporate finance, accounting, cost analysis, or manufacturing finance to see how financial principles are applied in a real production setting. Upon graduation, this internship may open up full-time Finance opportunities across the organization. The official Zekelman internship program runs from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field
- Strong interest in manufacturing finance or operational finance
- Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data organization)
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working with large datasets
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
- Self-motivated and eager to work in a fast-paced plant environment
Responsibilities
- Align, validate, and consolidate plant financial data from multiple reporting sources
- Support weekly and monthly financial reporting processes
- Assist with cost analysis, variance reporting, and performance tracking
- Help develop dashboards and reporting tools to improve financial visibility
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to understand cost drivers
- Participate in month-end close activities and financial review meetings
- Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency
- Present findings and recommendations to plant finance leadership
