About The Position

Dover Food Retail is seeking a Finance & Accounting Intern for a project-based internship focused on operational finance and accounting milestones and continuous improvement. The intern will assist management with research, modeling, design, and process documentation for existing workflows, with work complexity aligned to the intern’s skills and experience and increasing over time. The position includes daily and monthly tasks as well as project deliverables. The intern will receive coaching, mentoring, and direction from a manager and may participate in skip-level discussions with finance leadership about personal development and long-term fit with the finance team. The position is located in Conyers, Georgia.

Requirements

• Be enrolled in a Bachelor of Accounting degree program.
• Have a minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 scale and a minimum 3.5 GPA in core accounting classes.

• Be a rising junior or rising senior progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Demonstrate analytical and conceptual thinking, using logic and reason, and creative and strategic thinking.
• Have basic GAAP knowledge commensurate with completed education.

Responsibilities

• Complete daily and monthly finance and accounting tasks in alignment with structural goals and objectives.
• Deliver assigned project work related to operational finance, accounting milestones, and continuous improvement.
• Assist management with research, modeling, design, and documentation of existing processes and workflows.
