About The Position

This is a 12-week internship with Arcwood Environmental. The intern will gain hands-on experience in the assigned department and work with the Revenue and/or Accounting teams. Assignments provide exposure to core functions and may be aligned with business priorities and the intern’s strengths and interests. The role provides experience with the monthly financial close process, corporate accounting functions, and how transactions affect financial statements.

Requirements

Be an enrolled, full-time college student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Have an overall GPA greater than 2.7.
Have a GPA in the major greater than 3.0.

Responsibilities

Adhere to health and safety policies, processes, and safe practices.
Gain an overall understanding of the company and participate in the monthly financial close process.
Work with functional teams in billing, procurement, project costing, cash application, and credit extension and collection to understand corporate accounting activities.
Learn how functional transactions flow through the business and affect the creation of financial statements.
Assist in creating, reviewing, and analyzing monthly income statement reports.
Schedule and reconcile accounts while learning about the balance sheet.
Take on additional duties as assigned to support the team and organization.
