About The Position

The University Athletic Association at the University of Florida is searching for an Intern to assist the Director of Events in all aspects of generating event revenue, formulating positive relationships in the community, and promoting the availability of various UAA venues for external events. Responsibilities include assisting with opening/closing athletic facilities, and utilizing innovative approaches to secure events commitments, plan events, and set up for events.

Requirements

• Have or pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate area of specialization
• Valid driver’s license
• Regularly lift 25 pounds
• Occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Multitask effectively
• Engage effectively with others of diverse cultures or backgrounds

Nice To Haves

• Interest in or enrolled in graduate school
• Experience with planning/setting up events
• Experience in graphic design or digital marketing
