About The Position

TYLin is hiring an Intern Engineering Designer to support Roads & Highways engineering projects. Under senior engineer supervision, the role supports quantity take-offs, project monitoring and scheduling, computer modeling, progress reporting, and preparation of engineering drawings, calculations, and cost estimates. The intern applies appropriate engineering codes and standards, collaborates with engineers, drafters, and support staff, and attends site visits or inspections. The role is intended for a current third-year undergraduate student in an accredited Civil Engineering program.

Requirements

Current third-year standing as an undergraduate in an accredited Civil Engineering program.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and engineering software.
Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively in a team.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

Become familiar with engineering plans and details.
