About The Position

General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to join a team working on projects that support national defense services. The selected candidate will collaborate with technical teams on projects related to GDMS’s mission and apply classroom-learned skills to work supporting national security missions. The role offers an opportunity to develop skills alongside experienced colleagues in a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded. This position is 100% on-site at the Manassas, Virginia facility.

Requirements

Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology and a clear understanding of engineering concepts, principles, theories, and technical standards.
Be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
U.S. citizenship is required.
Selected applicants must undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire.
MBSE experience is a plus.
Preferred knowledge of SysML and experience with Cameo or similar tools.
Creative thinking and ability to grasp and apply new information quickly, while handling increasing responsibilities with growing complexity.
