About The Position

The Electrical Engineer Intern will work with Electrical Designers and Engineers to use various design software to create accurate drawings. This role is committed to Lean design production and will be a key element of our success. The intern will contribute to maximizing the contribution of human talent, solving problems using the A3 approach, and identifying root cause technology shortcomings. They will also encourage and standardize the SixSigma – 5S approach, be regularly in the work areas (Gemba) to identify problem areas and improvements, and guide continuous improvement results with the Lean Plan-Do (study)-Check-Act (PDCA) procedure.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a Bachelors degree program.
  • 0-1 years of experience is required.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite, Revit, AutoCAD).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Electrical Construction Industry.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Requires effective time management skills, personal conduct, and change management abilities.
  • Ability to effectively interact with co-workers, clients, vendors, and other business contacts.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize design software to create detailed and accurate 2D and 3D models of custom equipment based on client specifications and project requirements.
  • Create project documents as required, including bills of materials, parts lists, etc.
  • Communicate variances in job scope effectively.
  • Ensure technical support is provided to the appropriate teams: Design and Fabrication.
  • Ensure proper communication with all teams throughout the duration of each project.
  • Work diligently to ensure there are no disruptions on projects.
  • Comply with Company’s Quality Control and Project Management procedures.
  • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
