Electrical Engineer Intern
About The Position
The Intern, Electrical Engineering will learn to design and develop electrical systems for integrating electrical and electronic equipment on military and commercial aircraft and ground stations. The role offers exposure to a variety of tasks and aircraft systems across numerous aircraft platforms. The intern will create engineering designs and drawings using CAD, coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production, and may support testing and system integration on aircraft. Designs may involve avionics, RF, LAN, data processing, power distribution, electrical-load analysis, and load-shedding schemes.
Requirements
- Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree, master's degree, or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science, or a related technical degree at an accredited university.
Nice To Haves
- Skills or knowledge of CAD and PLM software, including NX and Teamcenter.
- Knowledge of Siemens Capital software.
Responsibilities
- Create system wiring diagrams, circuit-breaker panels, control panels, and other items using CAD tools.
- Research and prepare engineering drawings.
- Coordinate design activities with Systems Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production to ensure designs meet requirements at minimum cost.
- Contribute to designs involving avionics systems, RF, LAN, data processing, power distribution systems, electrical-load analysis, and load-shedding schemes.
- Support testing and integration of systems on aircraft.
