About The Position

The Digital Content Creation Intern will support the Training department by transforming technical training materials into engaging, accessible digital learning experiences. This role involves collaborating with technical instructors and other departments to modernize learning paths, starting with the Crawler curriculum and supporting the development of CCS 2.0. The intern will gain experience in digital learning, technical content development, learning management systems, AI-assisted content creation, and cross-functional collaboration within a global manufacturing organization.

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled at an accredited college or university pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Training and Development, Digital Media, Communications, Engineering Technology, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Interest in digital learning, technical training, content creation, or emerging educational technologies.
  • Strong written communication, editing, organization, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Comfort learning and using AI tools, learning management systems, translation tools, and digital-content platforms.
  • Ability to understand technical information and translate it into clear, engaging learning content.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical subject-matter experts while working independently on assigned projects.
  • Strong time-management skills and the ability to meet recurring content-development deadlines.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience or interest in video production, virtual reality, simulation, graphic design, or interactive media is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review, outline, and divide existing technical content into concise, easy-to-understand learning sections.
  • Organize and label digital training materials so technicians can quickly locate the information they need.
  • Create and improve technical learning content using digital and AI-assisted tools under the guidance of experienced instructors.
  • Upload and maintain training content within the learning management system (LMS).
  • Use language-translation tools to make training materials accessible in technicians’ primary languages.
  • Help standardize training content across facilities to provide a consistent customer and learner experience.
  • Collaborate with technical instructors to ensure content is accurate, practical, and ready for delivery.
  • Use engineering tools, such as Crane’sViewer, to help create interactive digital simulations.
  • Explore virtual reality, video, and other digital formats that allow technicians to practice skills more effectively.
  • Convert approximately one full week of course content into the new digital format every three weeks.
  • Support the development and delivery of additional training initiatives and special projects based on business needs.
