About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Diamond Fabrication Intern to join our Diamond Fabrication team for Summer 2026. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in production, operations, and engineering to make new products, improve current products, and/or processes while working alongside industry professionals and contributing to meaningful projects that support our team and company objectives. Requirements

• Education Level Required: Bachelor's / Master’s / PhD
• Completed a minimum of 2 years of bachelor's degree by start of internship
• Majors: Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or Material Science
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Team-oriented but able to work independently when needed.
• Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and time management.

Nice To Haves

• Relevant coursework or extracurricular experience in field or tools is a plus.
• Open to currently enrolled students or those who have graduated within one year of the internship start date.
• Programming and/or JMP experience is a plus
• Knowledge of characterization equipment is a plus

Responsibilities

• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude to build and assemble equipment, as well as performing process testing with fabrication equipment
• Use of characterization equipment and analysis to baseline tools
• Assist with data collection and development in the production environment
• Work on assigned R&D projects
• Assist engineering staff with daily projects and duties
• Learn Diamond Fabrication machine operation and provide support where necessary
• Support department 5S initiatives
• Present on projects while speaking about any research or ideas to make improvements
