About The Position

GM Financial is seeking students for a Cybersecurity internship. This role involves working on cybersecurity initiatives focused on protecting customer and employee data. Requirements

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related areas with at least one semester remaining upon start of the internship.
• Minimum of a 3.0 (out of a 4 point scale) overall GPA.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, problem solving and conceptual skills.
• Detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently or in a team setting.

Nice To Haves

• Previous internships considered a plus.
• Junior or senior classification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work on cybersecurity initiatives aimed at protecting the confidentiality, availability, and integrity of customer and employee data.
• Take on stimulating projects and gain exposure to a variety of industry initiatives.
• Give presentations and communicate with business leaders.
• Use AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot) to support daily work.
• Evaluate AI outputs for accuracy, compliance, and bias.
• Integrate AI into workflows to improve efficiency or insights.
• Engage in AI assisted research, summarization, and content generation.
• Understand responsible AI use, including ethics and data protection.
