About The Position
Provide support to the Corporate Accounts Payable team while experiencing the culture and activities of a large company’s accounting department. All Nelnet interns receive one-on-one mentorship, competitive pay, casual dress, flexible schedule, intern-specific programming, and meaningful work experience.
Requirements
- Working towards a degree in Accounting or Finance
- Knowledge of computers: preferably Microsoft Office
- Accuracy/Attention to detail.
- Good oral and written communication.
- Ability to follow directions.
- Willingness to learn new processes.
- Knowledge of accounting practice and procedures.
- Energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
- Good work ethic and habits.
Responsibilities
- Assist with supplier payment processes.
- Review and approve expense reports.
- Assist with annual 1099 filings.
- Assist with departmental projects and other duties as may be assigned.
