About The Position

Burson, part of WPP, is the global communications leader built to create value for clients through reputation. Burson is looking for an intern to work across its Consumer & Brand team. The internships are designed for students enrolled in or recently graduated from related programs to provide hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency setting. Interns will have the opportunity to work on client files across various services and practices, access senior talent, and participate in internal education and training programs. The team is integrated, so interns may be asked to work closely with account and specialist teams on Consumer & Brand, Corporate Communications, and/or Health Comms, supporting projects such as media relations, social/digital media, writing, monitoring, and research.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in or recently graduated from marketing, communication, public relations or related programs
  • Strong time management skills, with experience in multi-tasking, prioritizing competing demands, and meeting deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and drive to take initiative
  • Active consumer of media and social media, with a passion for networking and staying on top of trends

Responsibilities

  • Be involved in developing client-facing deliverables
  • Media, & stakeholder outreach
  • Participate in brainstorms and internal strategic meetings
  • Track and share news and trends with the team and clients
  • Create materials including media lists, media pitches, client reports, stakeholder maps, meeting agendas and summaries, insight notes, measurement reports and more.
  • Monitor for media coverage, social media conversation
