About The Position

The Computer Science Intern will perform development and analytical work under the direction of a SureScan Senior Physicist. In this role, they will learn existing operation of a photon-counting detector system including iterative reconstruction of 3D images. This position offers the opportunity to learn how X-ray physics and image processing algorithms are applied in a business setting. The intern will have the ability to propose, develop, and present technical concepts and approaches based upon their academic background and exposure to the latest technology trends.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of collegiate coursework in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Algorithms
  • Proficiency in office automation and analytics tools (Word, Excel)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Software development for physics and image processing applications using Python, Matlab, or C++
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and process improvement
