About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Commercial Finance Intern to join our Commercial Finance Team located in Indianapolis, IN with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. This internship is part of Labcorp’s 2027 Global Internship Program, an 11-week paid internship where students work on impactful projects and gain real-world experience. The Commercial Finance Team supports commercial strategy, pricing, financial analysis, reporting, and business operations within Labcorp. The intern will gain hands-on experience analyzing data, developing reports, supporting pricing initiatives, and contributing to projects that help drive profitable business growth. The intern will also gain exposure to cross-functional teams including Commercial Finance, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and laboratory leadership. The program includes enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, an immersive intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, opportunities to connect and grow, connection to Labcorp’s inclusive culture, and dedicated mentoring.

Requirements

• Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
• Working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Ability to work with large data sets and organize information effectively.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
• Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
• Comfortable working with quantitative data and business metrics.
• Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
• Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to team objectives.
• Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (December 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or other analytical tools is a plus.
• Interest in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or clinical research is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support commercial analysts and managers with data collection, validation, and analysis.
• Assist in preparing client and internal financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
• Perform research and analytical work to support commercial strategy initiatives.
• Assist with development and maintenance of business tools, models, and reporting processes.
• Organize and summarize large data sets to identify trends and business insights.
• Participate in project meetings and support ongoing commercial initiatives.
• Collaborate with team members across Commercial Finance, Finance, Sales, and Operations.
• Prepare PowerPoint presentations and Excel-based analyses for management review.
• Support process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
