About The Position

Labcorp is seeking a Commercial Finance Intern to join our Commercial Finance Team located in Indianapolis, IN with the flexibility of a hybrid work schedule. This 11-week paid internship is part of Labcorp's 2027 Global Internship Program and offers students the opportunity to work on impactful projects, gain real-world experience, and support the company's mission to improve health and improve lives. The Commercial Finance Team supports commercial strategy, pricing, financial analysis, reporting, and business operations. The intern will gain hands-on experience analyzing data, developing reports, supporting pricing initiatives, and contributing to projects that drive profitable business growth. The intern will also gain exposure to cross-functional teams including Commercial Finance, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and laboratory leadership. The program includes enterprise-wide learning experiences, leadership exposure, an immersive intern event, senior leader speaker sessions, continuous connection and growth opportunities, engagement with employee resource groups, and dedicated mentoring.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s degree program.
  • Working towards a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to work with large data sets and organize information effectively.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently while also collaborating within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and willingness to learn.
  • Comfortable working with quantitative data and business metrics.
  • Strong time-management skills and ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to contribute to team objectives.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce, or other analytical tools is a plus.
  • Interest in healthcare, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or clinical research is preferred.
  • Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (December 2027 through June 2029 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Support commercial analysts and managers with data collection, validation, and analysis.
  • Assist in preparing client and internal financial reports, dashboards, and presentations.
  • Perform research and analytical work to support commercial strategy initiatives.
  • Assist with development and maintenance of business tools, models, and reporting processes.
  • Organize and summarize large data sets to identify trends and business insights.
  • Participate in project meetings and support ongoing commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members across Commercial Finance, Finance, Sales, and Operations.
  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations and Excel-based analyses for management review.
  • Support process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned.
