About The Position

This 12-month internship is ideally suited for a university student seeking work experience, or a recent graduate. This role is set to begin September 2026 and run until August 2027. Being part of the Cash Management and Treasury Department, the successful candidate will support the day-to-day Liquidity Management, Cash and Collateral daily operation. The role will play a key part in preparing liquidity reports by liaising regularly with various internal and external stakeholders, including the Investment Finance team, Corporate Finance team, Custodians and Administrators, Investment Team, and others. The successful candidate will be equipped with not only the knowledge of Cash Management and Treasury but also the understanding of strategic decisions regarding Treasury and how these decisions are related to other Investment decisions.

Requirements

  • Self-starter with great work ethic and be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong personal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues of all levels
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven technical skills in but not limited to Excel/VBA, Word, PowerPoint, Power Automate, Power BI and Bloomberg

Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily collateral reports to internal stakeholders (e.g., Investments, Risk)
  • Monitor daily margin requirements for Derivatives, Futures and External Managers
  • Process all cash and non-cash collateral within a timely matter and ensure trades are settled within market timelines
  • Monitor collateral inventory to ensure sufficient liquidity
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for improvement relating to mitigating operational risk
  • Maintain external relationships with various banks, custodians, and brokers
  • Other duties as assigned.

Benefits

  • The base salary range for this position is CAD $45,000 to $65,000. The placement within the range is determined by the role and assessment of the candidate’s year of study and relevant work experience.
