About The Position

This role involves working with Project Engineers on capital projects, assisting with special projects to improve communication and teach responsibility, and utilizing computer software for P&ID drawing and equipment file maintenance. The co-op student is expected to take ownership of their work and collaborate effectively with lab personnel, operators, and supervisors, maintaining a positive work attitude and a high level of professionalism.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled student majoring in Electrical Engineering.
  • Completed freshman year but not surpassed senior status.
  • Attending one of the following schools: Michigan Tech, Western Michigan, Ferris State, U of Michigan, Michigan State.
  • Minimum grade point average of 3.0/4.0.
  • Eligible to work in the US on a full-time basis.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must display maturity and a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to work with other lab personnel, operators, and supervisors.
  • Positive work attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Engineers as a resource for capital projects.
  • Work on special projects assigned to assist engineers, teach responsibility, and improve communication.
  • Utilize computer software for P&ID drawing and assist in maintaining equipment files.
