About The Position

The Client Development Intern will gain exposure to a wide variety of activities including sales strategy, event planning, digital marketing, podcast production, and database optimization. At FEG, the Sales and Marketing teams work closely with each other. This role reports to the Vice President of Institutional Sales and would support initiatives directly tied to the growth of the firm. FEG is an independently owned advisory firm that provides investment consulting, outsourced chief investment officer (OCIO), and research services to predominantly institutional clients, such as university endowments, private and public foundations, religious organizations, healthcare institutions, corporate retirement plans, and select family offices. Founded in 1988, FEG has served communities both directly and by helping our clients fulfill their missions, for over 37 years. FEG employs 140+ professionals across offices in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dallas, Texas, and Indianapolis, Indiana, with approximately $99.4 billion in client assets under advisement.

Requirements

  • Ability to work 20 hours per week at our corporate headquarters in Cincinnati, OH.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar field.
  • Previous internship experience preferably in the finance or investment field.
  • Ability to identify and resolve or appropriately escalate complex issues with minimal guidance.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint with strong attention to detail, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Listen and learn while still taking full ownership of individual scope of work.
  • Engage collaboratively with clients, investment teams and peers.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Prioritize effectively and decisively across complex teams and competing priorities.
  • Enjoy working in and learning about the financial investment industry.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar technologies) to streamline workflows, conduct research, draft communications, analyze data, and support business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Support of sales campaigns, pipeline tracking, and client segmentation analysis.
  • Develop new ideas and branding for prospective client presentations.
  • Maintain and enhance client databases (HubSpot & Dynamics 365), ensuring data accuracy and usability for reporting and outreach.
  • Support the coordination and logistics of investor events and conferences.
  • Assisting team with administrative requests, as needed.
