About The Position

The Grainger Technology Group (GTG) internship is a 10-week, paid program based in our downtown Chicago office (with some days spent at our Lake Forest office) where interns work alongside technology and business teams to help deliver solutions that support Grainger’s customers and operations. As a Business Systems Analyst Intern, you will gain hands-on experience working with enterprise applications, including SAP, SaaS platforms, custom-built solutions, and system integrations. You will partner with analysts, engineers, product and portfolio teams, and business stakeholders to learn how technology enables business processes and drives customer value. Throughout the summer, you will contribute to meaningful work tied to real business outcomes while developing analytical, technical, and communication skills. You will also participate in networking, social, and professional development activities and present your work and key learnings to senior leadership at the conclusion of the program. Business Systems Analysts specialize in understanding, configuring, enhancing, and supporting the enterprise systems that power Grainger’s business operations. They combine deep knowledge of business processes with technical expertise to deliver solutions across platforms such as SAP, SaaS products, custom applications, and system integrations. This internship is designed for students interested in both business and technology and provides exposure to enterprise systems, software delivery practices, process analysis, and stakeholder collaboration. Interns will work across a variety of technologies and business domains while learning how complex systems work together to support Grainger’s operations.
