About The Position
Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) is seeking a phenomenal teammate with strong time management and interpersonal skills, a professional manner, positive attitude, and eagerness to learn for an Intern, Business Intelligence role. The ability to multitask and adapt to a changing environment are imperative to success in this position. This role focuses on customer, sales, marketing, and operational insight through data analysis, reporting, and research. The intern will work closely with the Strategy & Analytics department, and the sales, service, and marketing teams for the Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, and Colorado Mammoth.
Requirements
- Applicants must be pursuing an undergraduate degree in business analytics, business intelligence, mathematics, computer science, data science, economics, or similar field.
- Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of analytic tools/languages (e.g. Tableau, R, Python)
- Knowledge of data modeling, and/or SQL
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work and communicate with both technical and business minded professionals
- Ability to work independently
Responsibilities
- Analyze revenue data and recommend strategies to drive profitable growth
- Evaluate sales trends and propose pricing changes
- Analyze and make recommendations for customer acquisition and retention campaigns including segmentation and testing strategies
- Develop techniques to identify, extract, and analyze data to support business decisions
- Learn and master new technologies and existing software platforms such as Tableau, SQL, GCP, and new AI technologies
- Advocate and demonstrate the value of using data in helping to drive business decisions
- Fully document work processes and activities
