About The Position

As a Business Development Intern at LJA Land Development, you will be supporting the BD team in driving client engagement, market research, and pursuit strategy efforts. This role will delve into how relationships, strategy, and positioning come together to win work in a professional services environment.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have completed at least one year of college and pursuing a Bachelor of Science, Business related degree is required.

Responsibilities

  • Research target clients, industries, and upcoming opportunities
  • Track capital improvement plans, funding programs, and industry trends
  • Develop client profiles and data points
  • Assist in preparing for client meetings (agendas, background briefs, notes)
  • Support proposal and interview preparation (slides, resumes, project sheets)
  • Help maintain and organize pursuit pipelines and tracking tools
  • Assist with coordination of client events, conferences, and outreach efforts
  • Attend select meetings or industry events (when appropriate)
  • Capture notes and key takeaways for follow-up action
  • Work with technical teams to gather project information and updates
  • Help standardize BD materials and templates
  • Support CRM data entry and maintenance
