About The Position

The American Bankers Association (ABA) is seeking interns for its Partner Network team. This paid internship offers students the opportunity to work with a major trade association in Washington, DC. Requirements

  • Strong research skills: Ability to conduct lead searches, analyze competition, and gather data effectively.
  • Analytical skills: Ability to analyze membership data and provide actionable insights.
  • Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication for customer service and marketing support.
  • Attention to detail: Accuracy in research, data analysis, and marketing materials.
  • Customer service: Ability to interact with customers and partners professionally and effectively.
  • Proficiency in office software: Strong skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and possibly CRM tools.
  • Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple tasks and respond to changing priorities.
  • Must be a rising junior or senior at an accredited college or university with a graduation date between December 2027 and May 2029.

Responsibilities

  • Business development support for the Partner Network team.
  • Market Research: Identifying potential new partners, sponsors, and exhibitors while tracking industry trends.
  • Membership Analysis: Evaluating the benefits of Partner Network membership and helping improve offerings.
  • Sales Support: Assisting the team in outreach efforts to potential members, sponsors, and exhibitors.
  • Lead Generation: Conducting lead searches to identify potential companies for recruitment.
  • Event & Competitor Research: Finding out which industry events key banking companies attend and how they engage with associations. Performing competitor analysis (exhibit pricing, sponsorships package/pricing, exhibit hall models).
  • Customer Engagement: Supporting communication efforts aimed at enhancing the Partner Network's visibility and engagement to ensure excellent relationships with members and partners.
  • Assisting in customer service activities related to the Partner Network.
