About The Position

This is an Intern Accounting role that involves being a report writer for several different programs. The intern will review and verify the accuracy of reports for accounting, and communicate with other departments and/or outside agencies to resolve problems. Duties include report writing and any other projects for all departments. The role requires compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Following established company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, Sarbanes Oxley controls, Business Ethics and Standard of Conduct, Electronic Communications, Confidentiality and Privacy, is also required.

Requirements

  • Two years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
  • Completed 2 years of a Finance or Business Management college degree program and currently enrolled.
  • Proficient with Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple, and sometimes, conflicting tasks.
  • Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs.
  • Capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency.
  • Able to operate routine office equipment including CRTs, PCs, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators.
  • Routinely perform work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary.
  • Able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management.
  • Capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
  • Able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team.
  • Able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions.
  • Able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
  • Able to deal calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public.
  • Able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace.
  • Able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities.
  • Capable of exercising the highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.
