About The Position
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Intern to join our Accounting team. This internship provides hands-on experience supporting day-to-day accounting operations while working alongside experienced accounting professionals in a collaborative office environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or recent graduate looking to gain practical accounting experience and develop professional skills within a growing organization.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of GAAP accounting principles
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and lookup formulas preferred
- ERP system experience is a plus, but not required
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Detail-oriented with strong accuracy and follow-through
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook
Nice To Haves
- ERP system experience is a plus, but not required
Responsibilities
- Assist with bank account reconciliations
- Process accounts payable invoices and assist with check processing
- Support the review of accounts payable statements
- Assist with balance sheet reconciliations alongside the Accounting Manager and Controller
- Support Staff Accountants with equipment usage entry into the company ERP system
- Assist with recurring monthly general ledger entries and payments
- Help prepare month-end journal entries
- Provide audit support as needed
- Assist with special projects and other accounting-related duties as assigned
