About The Position

The Account Service intern will gain real-world experience in helping clients build captivating brand stories and stand out in the marketing industry. This role involves working with collaborative cross-functional teams such as creative, digital, media, and strategy. The intern will gain exposure to brand strategy, creative briefings, internal kickoffs, creative reviews, client management, project management, and digital & traditional projects. This paid internship begins on June 1st and lasts through August, with a potential option to extend based on performance. The role requires 15-20 hours per week, with at least 5 hours expected in the office on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Special schedules may be reviewed on an ad hoc basis. Remote internships are not offered at this time. The internship offers the opportunity to apply time towards university credit and earns $12 per hour. Schaefer Advertising interns work on client projects, gain real-world knowledge, and are mentored by industry professionals, aiming to provide an immersive agency experience to build a foundation for future advertising careers. High-performing interns may have the opportunity for full-time employment with Schaefer.

Requirements

  • 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher
  • Majoring in Advertising/Marketing/Business or a similar field of study
  • Must be available to work 15-20 hours per week for the duration of the internship.
  • Must be available to work in the office, ideally 3 or more days per week for a minimum of 5 hours at a time.
  • Must be a junior or beyond; post-grad candidates are welcome.
  • You must sign a confidentiality agreement.
  • You must have a valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Course experience in strategic marketing, marketing communications, campaigns, media planning, or similar curriculum
  • Previous agency experience
