About The Position

ConGlobal is hiring an Intermodal Equipment Operator, also known as a Terminal Operator, to support global supply chain operations. This role involves safely and efficiently moving shipping containers within an intermodal yard using specialized equipment. Operators load, unload, and relocate containers so freight continues moving on time. The position offers paid training, competitive pay, benefits, and opportunities for career advancement. It is full-time, based at 32880 West 191st Street, Edgerton, Kansas 66021, and requires open availability for all shifts, weekends, and holidays. Starting pay is $25.65, with shift differentials available after training when 2nd and 3rd shifts are regularly worked.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays; open availability for all shifts is required.
• Basic communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs, both off and on railcars.
• Must pass pre-employment background verification, physical, and drug screening.
• Previous experience operating heavy equipment or machinery in a logistics or industrial environment is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in intermodal or rail yard operations.
• Familiarity with container handling equipment such as hostlers, top loaders, or cranes.
• CDL or equipment certifications; not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load and unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, and/or cranes to stack, move, and organize containers.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure operational safety.
• Communicate with yard personnel and supervisors to coordinate moves and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment by following established protocols and procedures.
