About The Position

Dev.Pro is a US-based software development company that helps technology companies build products and grow their businesses. It is remote-first and works with independent contractors in more than 55 countries. The role is on a project creating a streamlined version of a point-of-sale and business management platform used in the restaurant, food service, and retail industries. The project involves building a React-based user interface for administrative functions, including data management, reporting, and back-office operations, and integrating it with existing APIs.

As a Manual Test Engineer, you will help ensure the quality and reliability of the application through hands-on manual UI and API testing, database checks, and close collaboration with the development team. The position offers the opportunity to work with React-based interfaces, APIs, and databases as part of an international, collaborative, knowledge-sharing team.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience in manual testing of web applications.
• Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman.
• Basic MongoDB skills, including connecting to databases and performing simple data checks.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application environments.
• Solid understanding of software testing principles and test design techniques, with experience in test documentation and defect management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and ensuring software quality.
• Upper-Intermediate English level.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with responsive UI testing.
• Experience working with UI designs.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional and regression testing of web applications.
• Test UI functionality and responsive layouts, ensuring consistency with designs.
• Test REST APIs using Postman and perform basic data checks in MongoDB.
• Analyze requirements and develop, execute, and maintain test cases.
• Identify, document, and track defects, and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with the development team to investigate issues, address quality concerns, and improve software reliability.
