About The Position

The Structural Building team is currently looking for a motivated and skilled Intermediate Structural Engineer to support the growth of the local office. This position is based out of our Vancouver office working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng) with EGBC (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
• Minimum five (5) years of previous related experience in a similar role is preferred
• Strong experience with structural design software (ETABS, SAP2000, SAFE, etc.)
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage changing priorities

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree in Structural Engineering is an asset

Responsibilities

• Actively participate in the design and preparation of plans and specifications (steel, concrete, wood, masonry, etc.)
• Conduct studies, surveys, technical reports and structural inspections
• Supervise the execution of structural work during the construction phase
• Ensure that the engineering work is produced according to the quality standards of the industry and respect the National Building Code and British Columbia Building Code
• Coordinate projects that impact your structural design with the other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, architecture, process, etc.)
• Maintain and develop client and stakeholder relationships
• Ability to provide guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers.
