Intermediate Electrical Designer

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years design experience in power distribution, fire alarm, lighting and lighting control systems using Revit (or AutoCAD)
- Ability to read Architectural, Structural, Electrical drawings with minimal supervision
- Ability to apply prescriptive requirements of electrical building services engineering codes with minimal supervision
- Proficient operating knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD
- Good communication skills
- Initiative and inclination to learn
- Flexibility to deal with changing priorities
- Ability to systematically and reliably respond to critical situations
Nice To Haves
- University degree or College diploma in Electrical Engineering specialization
Responsibilities
- Revit and AutoCAD electrical design operations
- Provide technical assistance to Senior Designers/Project Managers/Team Leaders
- Support design of power distribution, fire alarm, grounding, lightning protection, photovoltaic and lighting systems
- Ensure Introba design checklist and standards are being followed
- Coordinate electrical and mechanical requirements with other disciplines (Architects, Structural Consultants, Code Consultants, Geotechnical Consultants, etc.)
- Coordinate service requirements/connections with the respective utility and/or municipal agencies
- Support the construction administration process, review shop drawings and RFIs, and issue site instructions and change notices
