WSP’s Energy & Process team works coast‑to‑coast, delivering integrated
solutions for upstream, midstream, and downstream operations, as well as new and
evolving energy markets. As a Piping Designer/Drafter, you’ll join our dynamic
Mechanical and Piping group and collaborate with multidisciplinary experts to
bring impactful, future‑ready projects to life.

This role can be based in any WSP office across any of our Canadian offices with
preference for Alberta, and British Columbia.

Requirements

• Approximately 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in piping design and drafting.
• Engineering Design and Drafting Diploma in related field.
• Experience in energy projects in Oil and Gas, Pipelines and other heavy industry projects.
• Strong technical acument with experience in CADWORX and Plant 3D.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an EPCM environment is a asset

Responsibilities

• Provide competent assistance to senior designers with larger project, Including: PFD/P&ID creation Plot Plan Creation Equipment and piping model development GA and ISO creation
• Conducting and preparing as-built drawings.
• Check work of and assist in the training of less experienced drafting personnel.
• Identify potential changes to scope and communicate to discipline lead.
• Review third-party engineering design/vendor drawings with engineers to create 3D model and piping drawings.
• Occasional travel to various client sites and conduct field reviews.
