About The Position

As an Interior Foreman in our commercial construction team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and coordinating the interior construction activities of our projects. This position demands a skilled and detail-oriented individual with a proven track record in commercial construction, a deep understanding of interior construction processes, and excellent leadership abilities. Family owned and operated since 1956; Bonitz of Georgia provides commercial Roofing, Roof Decking Systems, Engineered Fills, Metal Stud Framing, Drywall, and Acoustical Ceiling services. Bonitz of Georgia is a certified drug-free workplace. We operate primarily in Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Requirements

  • Must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screening and physical if selected
  • Experience in commercial construction, with a focus on interior construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of interior construction processes, materials, and methods
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
  • Familiarity with relevant safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team
  • Strong verbal and written communication, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and documents
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to individually lift, push, or pull materials & heavy equipment up to 100 pounds

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of construction management software is a plus
  • Potential candidates must be willing to submit to a preemployment drug screening to be considered for hire

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution of construction plans.
  • Implement and manage project schedules ensuring timely completion of interior phases.
  • Lead and supervise a team of interior construction workers providing guidance and support to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment promoting teamwork and accountability.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure the highest quality standards are met in all construction activities.
  • Identify and address any deviations from project specifications, working closely with the project team to implement corrective measures.
  • Efficiently allocate labor equipment and materials to maximize productivity and meet goals.
  • Monitor and control project expenses related to interior construction keeping costs within budgetary constraints.
  • Maintain open and clear communication channels with project stakeholders providing regular updates on progress challenges and solutions.
  • Address and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the course of interior construction.
