About The Position

Arrowstreet is an award-winning architecture, interiors, and experience design firm based in Boston, with over 60 years of expertise. We take a design-forward approach, focusing on sustainability to create thoughtful designs across our diverse portfolio to provide engaging, impactful experiences, and spaces that bring people together. Our Interiors practice continues to grow, and we are looking for an Interior Designer to join our team. Our Ideal candidate will have experience/exposure working in a variety of sectors; multifamily residential, hospitality, institutional, retail and academic environments. In this role, you will have opportunities to collaborate on projects across our diverse portfolio and business sectors. You will be part of a cohesive team and assist in developing innovative solutions for our clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture
  • 5-10 years’ interior design experience working across multiple sectors
  • Knowledge of Building Codes and ADA Requirements
  • Strong design and technical background
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in handling multiple projects and deadlines
  • Proficient in Revit, Enscape, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, MS Office, and other design software.
  • Deep knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications

Nice To Haves

  • NCIDQ and/or LEED accreditation, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead interior design development from early concepts through construction administration, translating program, brand and business goals into cohesive design solutions
  • Develop space plans, test fits, finish palettes, FF&E selections and material specifications with a high level of design, technical and aesthetic rigor
  • Demonstrated ability to lead interior design on multiple project types and scales.
  • Produce and oversee high-quality design presentations and documentation, including drawing sets, details, schedules and coordination with architectural teams and consultants
  • Manage construction administration responsibilities for interior scope including submittal review, RFI response, and site observations.
  • Organize and lead internal design reviews; ensure readiness for QA/QC milestones.
  • Mentor junior designers and reviewing work for quality, consistency and accuracy
  • Contribute to design culture and practice development through research, precedent studies, standards and continuous improvement of workflows
  • Actively engage a network of product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators to research, vet, and introduce innovative materials, furnishings, and fabrication strategies into project work
