About The Position

One of our clients is seeking an Interior Designer to join their design team in Fort Lee, NJ. The ideal candidate will have strong design sensibility, technical ability, and the flexibility to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The position requires regular communication and coordination with both the U.S.-based project team and Korea-based clients, including project discussions, presentations, meetings, and written communication. This is an in-office position.

Requirements

Strong SketchUp and AutoCAD proficiency
Comfortable moving efficiently between 3D design development in SketchUp to 2D technical documentation in AutoCAD
Strong understanding of interior construction, materials, millwork, and detailing
Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field preferred
Strong design and space-planning skills
Strong SketchUp 3D modeling skills
Efficient AutoCAD drafting and documentation skills
Knowledge of interior construction, materials, finishes, and millwork
Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines
Portfolio demonstrating both design and technical capabilities
3–6 Years of experience

Nice To Haves

Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, rendering/visualization software, and other relevant design tools is preferred
Experience using AI-assisted design and productivity tools is a strong plus
Professional Korean and English bilingual (preferred)

Responsibilities

Develop design concepts, space planning, and presentations
Create detailed 3D models in SketchUp
Produce accurate AutoCAD drawings and construction documentation
Prepare floor plans, RCPs, elevations, sections, finish plans, and millwork details
Select and specify materials, finishes, furniture, fixtures, and lighting
Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, vendors, and fabricators
Participate in site visits, field measurements, and construction coordination
Manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Senior candidates may lead projects, manage client relationships, and oversee junior team members
