About The Position

Our Alberta House Building team is growing and we are looking for someone who knows how to provide excellent homeowner experience and has a strong creative eye. You stay cool under pressure and have an open communication style that people are drawn to. Your love for interior design means you also have a desire to innovate.

Requirements

  • A diploma/degree in Interior Design from a recognized institute
  • 2+ years of progressive homeowner service experience
  • Strong organizational skills and are extremely detail-oriented
  • The proven ability to maintain professional interactions
  • A valid driver's license and reliable vehicle

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledgeable on current and upcoming design trends, residential construction and reading floorplans.
  • Someone who works well independently and as part of a team
  • A strong communicator with a proven track record in conflict resolution
  • Previous experience in the residential construction industry

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate Showhome selections in Calgary and Edmonton
  • Make all interior selections staying up to date about current design trends and materials
  • Select all furniture, fabrics, wall coverings, window treatments and accessories to fulfill the requirements and vision of the space
  • Present a furniture plan and mood board to help visualize the design
  • Meet project and budget specifications
  • Provide warehouse assistance, management and furniture coordination
  • Conduct site visits
  • Stage showhomes at completion and do final walk through
  • Monitor design studio selections
  • Assist in procuring and updating design palettes and continuously improve/evolve existing interior design palettes with the market
  • Coordinate Spec Home selections
  • Select interior and exterior finishes for Anthem spec home products
  • Coordinate interior selection appointments with homeowners.
  • Consult on and submit homeowner interior selections and optional upgrades
  • Consult on and submit any change orders for interior selections
  • Track homeowner selection data and current market trends
  • Be accountable for proactively educating homeowners, setting expectations and delivering timely, engaging communications
  • Liaise with all internal departments, including Sales, Liaison, Estimating, Drafting, Construction and Warranty with regards to the sales process, interior selections, construction details and timelines
  • Maintain a positive ‘get it done’ attitude and be the trusted advisor for homeowners, navigating homeowner concerns and difficult conversations
