RS&H is currently seeking an interior designer to join our Dallas team. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the Buildings team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm by performing all aspects of predesign, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation tasks related to the interior design scope of a project; designing a complete project and preparing project documents, specifications, and reports; formulating and solving design challenges with timely and innovative solutions; conducting research to support proposed design solutions; preparing and presenting project documents, drawings, visual aids, and presentations; developing project specifications and discipline reports; and performing quality control reviews and field observations of ongoing construction projects. This position may also provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration and/or manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects. To be successful in this role, you must: Have a bachelor's degree in interior design or architecture and NCIDQ certification or state registration (as applicable), and five years relevant experience. Bachelor's degree in interior design from a CIDA accredited program strongly preferred. Have a passion for design and demonstrate knowledge of state and local building codes, life safety codes, and other relevant ordinances. Be proficient in production software and construction documentation. Possess strong communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders. Have the ability to lead design efforts and guide a team. Be willing to mentor less experienced Interior Designers.
