You will work closely with Jane Miller, IIDA, Interior Design Practice Group Leader. As an Interior Designer at ISG, you will be responsible for collaborating on projects from schematic design and design development through construction documents and construction administration. Your role and responsibilities will vary from project-to-project, including, but not limited to, developing precedent image presentations, 3D renderings, finish floor plans, elevations and details, space planning, finish palettes, and furniture specifications, all the while working within the project scope, timeline, budget, and fee structure. Additionally, you will work collaboratively with clients, contractors, vendors and other ISG team members to deliver projects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Interior Design experience, preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design (CIDA Accreditation preferred)
  • NCIDQ certification or working towards examination
  • Experience with Revit, Adobe Photoshop, and InDesign is preferred
  • Knowledge of the design process, including furniture and specifications, color, and materials
  • Able to multi-task and establish priorities
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

  • Leads or assists interior designers with the development of design solutions within constraints of client goals, budgets, and codes
  • Utilizing Revit to prepare interior design construction documents to include floor plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans, millwork details and schedules
  • Prepare interior elevations, finish plans, and millwork details aligned with project requirements
  • Apply knowledge of building codes, ADA guidelines, and life safety requirements to ensure designs meet all regulatory standards
  • Research and select appropriate material selections while maintaining resource library
  • Work with all internal disciplines and external consultants to complete project objectives
  • Participate in client meetings and demonstrate an understanding of projects, goals, and expectations
